Eco- Warriors
After preparing a speech stating why they would be the best person for the job, the following eco warriors were voted by their peers to represent their class. Their responsibilities include a wide range of role and duties that they will be required to complete each week. These students have demonstrated a caring attitude about our school environment and the wider community. Hopefully, over the course of the year, they will be willing to learn and contribute to the education of the school, as a whole, on environmental issues.
The vision of the Eco Warriors:
- To ensure that the pupil voice is heard.
- To promote healthy eating across the school.
- To encourage children to become active and responsible citizens.
- To think about the wider community.
How it works:
Our group of Eco Warriors consists of one representative from each class. Each representative is nominated by their class teacher. Their job is to listen to ideas and suggestions from their class and then to ensure that these ideas are heard at the monthly meeting. They also feedback important information from the meeting to their class.
In the current climate, Mrs Penniston meets with each child individually and is communicating with the children via their monthly challenges. Keep an eye out on the 'Latest News' section of the website for these updates! In a normal situation, we would aim to meet once a month to discuss various topics like outdoor learning, recycling, healthy eating and much more.
