Church Hill C of E Junior School Shines at Thurmaston Lights On Festival
Despite the rain, pupils from Church Hill C of E Junior School brought festive cheer to Thurmaston during the annual Lights On Festival. Undeterred by the weather, the children paraded through the streets, spreading Christmas spirit. Crowds of locals braved the cold to watch the procession, which culminated in a heartwarming celebration at St Michael & All Angels Church. The school choir delivered a stunning performance of holiday classics, filling the church with their harmonised voices.
Adding to the festivities, the school's steel pan band performed lively renditions of seasonal favourites, showcasing their talent and adding a unique twist to the afternoon's entertainment. Parents, staff, and community members praised the children for their dedication and enthusiasm despite the challenging weather. Mrs Brown commented, "Our pupils truly embodied the spirit of Christmas tonight. We're so proud of their hard work and commitment to making this event special for everyone."
