World Mental Health Day
On World Mental Health Day, Church Hill C of E Junior School celebrated by dressing in bright yellow to show their support for mental health awareness. The focus of the day centred around the theme "Your Voice Matters," reflecting Article 12 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, which emphasises the importance of children having the right to express their views on matters that affect them.
Throughout the day, pupils engaged in discussions about how they could take care of their mental health and practise self-care. The activities helped them understand the significance of speaking up, being heard, and recognising the value of their mental well-being. The event not only raised awareness but also encouraged pupils to take proactive steps in looking after their own mental health.
