Democracy in Action!

We are excited to share that our school value of democracy was recently brought to life in an inspiring way! All our pupils actively participated in the selection of our new House Captains through a democratic voting process.

Each candidate submitted an application form and was carefully selected based on their ability to fulfill the significant responsibilities of this role. To become a House Captain, students needed to demonstrate qualities such as dedication, commitment, and the ability to embody and promote our school’s values.

Candidates gave speeches outlining their vision and commitment, and all pupils had the chance to vote in a secret ballot for one male and one female House Captain. This process allowed every student to express their opinion and contribute to choosing their leaders.

The role of a House Captain is both a privilege and a responsibility, involving:

· Providing Leadership: Serving as role models and leaders for their house, setting a positive example for the entire school community.

· Representing the House: Acting as representatives at school, house, and community events, and participating in house competitions.

· Chairing Meetings: Leading meetings with the support of the Head of House.

· Encouraging School Pride: Motivating all pupils to take pride in their school and contributing positively to our community.

· Commitment: Committing one lunchtime per week to manage and tally House Points and assisting teachers and community members as needed.

· Exemplary Conduct: Demonstrating politeness, organization, confidence, and a well-presented appearance, while being mature, honest, and caring.

Congratulations to all our new House Captains! We look forward to seeing them lead with enthusiasm and embody the values of our school throughout the year. Keep an eye on our ‘News and Events’ for updates on how they are making a difference!
